Withers-Maguire House

The Withers – Maguire House, built in 1888, is one of Orange County’s oldest homes. It has been tastefully updated with an additional kitchen and restroom, while the main rooms of the house are much as they have always been.

The Withers – Maguire house is suitable for smaller events, like club parties and rehearsal dinners, and includes bride and groom ready rooms that supplement other venues at the Center. The large wrap-around porch readily accommodates expansion of your event to the adjacent outdoor spaces for groups of more than 50 persons.

Rich History

This remarkable house was the first in Orange County to include closets in the bedrooms and electrical wiring inside the walls. The closets are still there, but the wiring is completely modern. Most lighting is indirect, allowing the rooms to retain many of the original fixtures.

Details

A catering kitchen with a large cooler and prep area has a separate back entrance. A central forced-air conditioning system has been tastefully installed so as to maintain the historic appearance of interior spaces.

Ready Rooms

Both Ready Rooms 1 and 2 in the Withers - Maguire House are available for use for wedding rentals; they are not part of the House that can be separately rented.

Ready Room 1

Located on the first floor, Room 1 is used to serve as a preparation and recovery space for the bride and her wedding party. This room has a separate outside entrance on the east side of the House with a direct walkway to the Ocoee Lakeshore Center.

Ready Room 2

Located on the second floor, is used to serve as the Groom’s preparation space and uses an isolated entrance to ensure the separation of bride and groom until after the wedding ceremony.

The Withers - Maguire house includes 2 separate facility spaces that may be used for your event consisting of the lawn and all the first floor spaces.

Wedding Garden

The Ocoee Wedding Garden features a wide area for ceremonies, bands, events and event participants. Nestled away from the lakeside area, this shaded arbor has been designed with an intimate garden surrounding it. This space is ideal for a private and picturesque wedding or reception.

Memorial Garden

Just outside of the Withers-Maguire House you'll find the Memorial Garden. The garden features a stunning stone memorial which pays homage to Ocoee’s WWII veterans who sacrificed their lives in service to our country. Situated under a large billowing American flag, this is a beautiful quietspace for reflection and relaxation
